"Santa Cruz Is For The Birds" is a collection of photos and mini-poems by native Santa Cruzan, Bob von Elgg. He is the owner of Strumb—a hybrid graphic design, website design/development, and book design/publishing support business.

Bird photography has been a long time hobby and passion of his. You can often find Bob in parks, at beaches, and walking neighborhoods in his hometown Santa Cruz with camera in hand, scanning the trees, fields, brush, water bodies, and skies in search of our feathered friends.

In 2010, Bob designed and installed a large 85' x 18' mural entitled "Raining Acorns: Abundance for All" located on the back wall of Safeway at 2203 Mission St, West Side Santa Cruz.

WHY I USE LULU.COM FOR PRINTING & FULFILLMENT

I am not an Amazon Prime member. I rarely order anything from Amazon. And I certainly don't want Amazon profiting off of my work. While Amazon would make $30.00 per book just to sell it, my royalty would be 37 cents. Additionally, I would need to sell the book to customers for $10 more per book just to make $0.37. To be fair, this is because my full color book is quite expensive to print.

But even more important to me is Lulu's stance and philosophy about doing business.  I can get behind what they are doing for the world while running a successful business. Learn more in the video below.
